The Building and Access.
The Hall was opened in 1989 and has recently been totally refurbished and modernised. It is a wonderful warm, light, welcoming venue within the heart of the Parish, with plenty of parking and a lovely garden.
The refurbished and modernised project.
The hall has been completely refurbished with new windows, curtains, lighting, acoustic panels in the main hall, a new boiler and a new sound system. It has also been redecorated and had new flooring in the reception area, committee room and toilets. Outside a new garden has been created and an extension to the car park. A huge thanks goes the National Lottery “Awards for All”, The Postcode Lottery, The Rowlands Trust, Kingspan Community Trust and the Parish Council for their financial help.
The Main Hall – with its curtained stage and windows – is a pleasant place for performances, talks, workshops, exercise classes and parties. A serving hatch opens from the adjacent kitchen into the hall. The seating capacity is 120 theatre style or for a more informal event it can be laid out with tables and chairs. We have a ceiling mounted projector and electronic screen for lectures or film shows plus excellent audio equipment and a hearing loop.
WiFi - is available in the Hall.
The Committee Room - houses the library and can seat 16 for a smaller meeting.
Toilets – Ladies, Gents and an Accessible toilet with baby changing facilities.
The Kitchen is well equipped with cooker, microwave, urn, dish washer and fridge.
Tables, crockery, cutlery can be hired for use by Parishioners for private events within their own homes.
Outside - the newly completed garden is a joy, with its large lawned area , suitable for a marquee and a small arbour with a seat for quiet contemplation.
The new extended car park can be used for walking and cycling groups by prior arrangement with the booking secretary Sue Carpenter
Defibrillator – A defibrillator has been installed by the entrance to the Parish Hall. This was funded by the West Midlands Ambulance service, a grant from the Community Shop and the Parish Hall.
